Know before you ship
AirDrop provides restricted-item guidance to help you ship with confidence. Item eligibility can change by carrier, customs, and government agency approval, so check before sending anything unusual or regulated.
Common category checks
- Permitted general goods: clothing, footwear, books, documents, general household goods, shelf-stable foods, non-hazardous consumer electronics, and non-aerosol personal care items.
- License required: seeds or plant material, protected animal products, prescription or controlled medical items, tactical/security equipment, controlled industrial or dual-use goods, and live animal or veterinary products.
- Restricted or special handling: hazardous chemicals, flammable substances, gases, aerosols, lithium batteries, magnetized materials, biological substances, dry ice, and other regulated dangerous goods.
- Prohibited: firearms, ammunition, explosives, illegal drugs, counterfeit currency or goods, unidentifiable substances, live or dead animals or insects, stun devices, and controlled dual-use equipment without proper approval.
Check your items
Signed-in customers can open Restricted Items in the customer portal for the category view and item search.
If you are unsure whether an item can ship, contact AirDrop support before ordering or sending the package to the warehouse.
