Shipping from Temu to Jamaica

One order, many parcels — the arithmetic that matters

Because each item can come from a different supplier, a Temu order with eight things in it can reach our warehouse as eight separate parcels, arriving over one or two weeks. This matters more on Temu than anywhere else, because freight is charged per package and the first pound of any package always costs more per pound than its twentieth. Eight one-pound parcels are not priced like one eight-pound box — they are eight separate first pounds, each with its own fuel surcharge.

• Expect several tracking numbers per order. This is normal, not a problem.
• Let everything land before you ship. Patience is worth more money on Temu than on any other store.
• A small order of many cheap items is exactly the case where per-parcel costs can overtake the value of the goods.
• Check your alerts as parcels arrive so you know when the last one has landed.

Temu items Jamaica may refuse — check before you buy

Temu's catalogue is enormous and includes a lot of goods that air freight and Jamaican customs treat as restricted or prohibited. This is the second Temu-specific thing to get right, because a refused item is money gone. Loose lithium batteries and power banks are the most common problem, followed by aerosols and pressurised cans, lighters and fuel, and anything flammable. Counterfeit-branded goods are a separate risk: customs seizes them, and Temu's marketplace is not always careful about branding. Read the restricted items list before you fill a cart.

What Temu's free shipping actually covers

Temu's free-shipping promise and its delivery guarantees apply to getting the parcel to the US address you gave it. They do not cover the Jamaica leg, and Temu's delivery-date guarantee is measured against arrival at that US address, not against when the item reaches you. Once a parcel is at our Florida warehouse it is on AirDrop freight. Air freight lands in Jamaica 2 to 5 business days after your item reaches our US warehouse. Express is 1 to 2 business days and SeaDrop sea freight 5 to 10.

Declared value across many small parcels

The duty threshold applies per package: packages valued over US$100 C.I.F. may attract duty. Temu's parcels are individually cheap, so each one usually sits under the line — but keep your order confirmation, because customs assesses on declared value and low-value goods with no paperwork attract more questions, not fewer. Freight is charged by weight, per package. If a box is light but bulky its dimensional weight (length x width x height, divided by 139) may be used instead of what the scale says. A fuel surcharge applies per package, and Jamaica Customs may assess duty on packages valued over US$100 C.I.F. Quality expectations, honestly

Freight costs the same whether the item was worth buying or not, and returning a Temu item from Jamaica to a US warehouse is almost never economic. That changes what you should order: things where a rough finish does not matter are fine, things where fit or precision matters are a gamble. Read the review photos rather than the studio photos, and treat anything electrical with particular caution.

Entering your address on Temu

Your AirDrop address line 2 carries a routing token in the form METHOD-TIER-ACCOUNT (for example AIR-RUBY-10493). That token is how a box gets matched to you. Copy it from your dashboard exactly — a package that arrives without it has to be identified by hand, which is the single most common cause of a delayed package. Temu's checkout is aggressive about autofill and about saving whatever your phone suggests, so it is worth opening your saved address after the first order and reading line 2 back. Because Temu ships from many different suppliers, an address error affects every parcel in the order at once rather than just one box.
